Introduction: Caring for a person with a cognitive impairment or mental illness can be truly rewarding. However, each day can also present different challenges. Learning about cognitive impairment & Mental illness can help you understand and better cope with these challenges.
The purpose of this program is to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and tools you need to better care for residents with dementia and other mental illnesses.
Objectives: At the end of this course, you will be able to: - Define dementia and mental illness;

- Describe techniques for communicating with residents;
