Introduction: This training program is part of a five module series that takes you step by step through the development of an emergency operations plan. It includes video interviews where staff who experienced real disasters talk about lessons learned. Objectives: At the end of this course, you will be able to: - Identify “good practices” for writing an emergency operations plan;
- Describe the importance of sharing an emergency plan with organizations outside the facility;
- Describe when and how to update an emergency plan;
- Develop strategies for training staff on emergency preparedness;
- Develop strategies for evaluating the emergency preparedness training program; and
- Develop an effective emergency exercise program.
