Introduction: People of all ages contract infectious diseases. As people age, there is an increased risk of developing an infection. The purpose of this program is to help caregivers of older adults prevent infectious diseases. Objectives: At the end of this course, you will be able to: - Recognize signs of infection;
- Remove hazards from the environment;
- Prevent infectious diseases by increasing the use of prevention behaviors; and
- Teach prevention practices, such as hand hygiene, to caregivers and older adults.
